fixing another one
August seems to be when I fix paintings, so I’m fixing this one from 2018. I always liked most of this painting, but I never got the sky right. I did it over and over… and got it to a point that seemed ok. And it’s hung on the wall ever since, bothering me by not being as good as it should have been. So I finally sorted out how to fix it, and went for it. Now it’s better.

August seems to be when I fix paintings, so I’m fixing this one from last summer, that gave me a really hard time and seemed more abandoned than finished. I spent a few days last week re-doing the colors of the clouds, only to finally realize that the clouds themselves just didn’t work. I like it much better with some empty space!

I’ve decided to try and use this thing again, as social media seems to be good at attracting spam bots, and not showing my stuff to actual humans who are interested in seeing it. This painting is a lot closer to the end than the beginning, but stick around… I’ll keep on posting.
