August seems to be when I fix paintings, so I’m fixing this one from last summer, that gave me a really hard time and seemed more abandoned than finished. I spent a few days last week re-doing the colors of the clouds, only to finally realize that the clouds themselves just didn’t work. I like it much better with some empty space!
